loading facts from dimensions in Informatica

Hi all,

I'm Praneeth . I'm new to data warehousing. I'd been working on Informatica for the last two weeks.I'm familiar with almost all transformations.But I'm facing problem when loading fact table from dimension tables.
Could you help me in knowing the right process to load facts and dimensions && facts from dimensions.

Hi Nick ,

The meaning behind ' facts from dimensions ' is as illustrated.

Consider EMP table in oracle.I've created two dimensional tables 'time' and 'dept'. My fact is 'Number of employees joined on a particular date or in a particular dept or both'. So now I need to populate the fact table with my time_key,dept_key and count of employees (that can be obtained from source). So I would like to know the right process to populate these dimensional tables, and later the fact table using the dimensional tables and the source.

P.S : Each table used here is a table in ORACLE database.
