Data flow to EDW Empty Data flow to EDW

We have Integrated Data Repository that integrates the most recent data from different source. Data in IDR then will be loaded to EDW.
The question becomes that
1-one of the sources already provides history, should we load just the recent one on IDR and then again into EDW.
2-Since the normal data flow is from source to IDR then EDW, should we also load source directly to the EDW , like in the case above.

Your IDR sounds like a staging area. If you are not facing data delivery latency, then you should follow normal data flow.
