Datamart - Beginner and newbie to site

Hi,
New to Datamart, but have defined the DIM and FACTS.[Simple STAR Schema]
Source is a flatfile and we are planning on using ETL [DS] for basic transformation and load into staging table.
Once staged, do further transformation to load DIM and FACT tables.[granular]
Will do some summarized FACTS based on the user needs.
Then a reporting tool to get the analytics.
Found this site interesting, so registered and thought would interact with the community here.
Some stats: 200+Million rows in FACT/week - to be held for 6 weeks.
Is this a norm in granular FACT table? Just wondering

200+ million rows a week is large, but not extraordinary. With the right hardware, it should not be an issue.
