Logical Dimensional Model Empty Logical Dimensional Model

Is there such a thing as a logical dimensional model? If you agree, how is it different than your physical dimensional model?

Logical Dimensional Model Empty Re: Logical Dimensional Model

There are always logical and physical models, for all the normal reasons... physical table and column names may be different to fit some internal standard, definition of index structures and other physical manifestations of the data base. But beyond that, I personally don't see the need to present either in a different form.

I have seen cases where the logical model represents dimensional roles as separate entities (sometimes even manifested as views), but this seems to be a lot of extra work without doing much to improve the overall understanding of the model.
