Filters in SSAS Cubes Empty Filters in SSAS Cubes

I am in the process of replacing a SAP BusinessObjects Universe with a SSAS multidimensional cube. The universe has a nice concept of filters, and I can't seem to find the equivalent concept in SSAS. For instance, I would like to create a filter that limits the transactions to a set of GL accounts. I would like to save the filter in the cube. I could create a calculated member, but that introduces new measures. I could create a named set, but that only allows me to slice by the set, and not filter. Any ideas?
