Delta Loading Empty Delta Loading

Hi,

I wonder what are the different strategies to make a delta load in the following setup :

Source System -> ODS -> DWH

For the moment, each day i'm loading all the data of the source system into the ods (which takes a lot of time), then I use functionnal dates to load only the new data from the ods into the data warehouse.
