Fact event error and Audit Dimension (Fact)

Hi Everyone,
I am quite new about Data Warehouse. I don t understand well the concept of Audit dimension in my case in quality. For my understanding audit dimension is a fact table with granularity execution (file, day)... It s an high level reporting for fact event error with summary.
Could you explain me?
