accential 8.1

in accential 8.1 we are running dimension jobs but these jobs are getting aborted due to deadlock.As we use scd type-2 dimension which has two drs stages one for updating the old records and other for inserting the new records for the same table in same job.So how to avoid deadlock, what should be the array size and transaction size and what transaction isolation should be used to avoid such deadlocks.

The two connections are operating under different transactions. Write the inserts to another table and append the table after all other processing has completed (transactions committed).

we need to update and insert into same table..there is no other way..we use db2 database. So there are two actions going simultaneously on same table so we want to avoid deadlock. actually in 7.1 version the jobs ran successfully but the same job getting deadlock error in 8.1 version.
